Fine Hampshire weddings at Lainstone House
Weddings at Lainstone House have always been a firm favorite of mine …
So if you are looking for the quintessential English country house, Lainstone really has it all. I have been photographing weddings at Lainstone House for over 20 years. In addition I live just ten miles away so this charming venue with stunning landscapes is one I look forward to returning to time & again.
So it was with pleasure I met with Garry & Caroline at their Winchester home in September 2014. A fun loving modern couple; I knew this would be a wedding I was going to enjoy. On the day I met Garry & the guys at home. Originally from Scotland, kilts & the full attire was the order of the day, hence very smart indeed !
Garry is a true gentleman, therefore it was a pleasure to make images of him & his friends from Scotland. After a very successful shoot at his house I headed off to meet Caroline at Lainstone. The atmosphere was very emotional. As a professional photographer for over thirty years I am used to seeing this. So special, that I can be part of such intimate moments, very precious to the couples I photograph. Caroline looked stunning. Furthermore my assistant & daughter Verity just loved her Christian Louboutin shoes !
A super toastmaster!
The weather was warm sunshine, naturally the guests enjoyed drinks on the terrace & in the grounds of Lainstone House. The toastmaster was the excellent Malcolm Jones a regular at the venue & great to work with. I found him very helpful but not intrusive. I was grateful for the help in calling for some of the larger groups due to me being high up in a bedroom window !
Evey time I photograph at Lainstone house seems like I create something new. Maybe different ways of seeing this stunning venue making the most of the landscape, architecture & ever changing light.
And so the guests enjoyed (as did I ) the award winning cuisine, simply delicious !. Onto the speeches & evening party. Especially touching Caroline & Gary’s hug at the end of his speech. However the evening party was a riot & surely left a lot of people with aching feet. In conclusion Leaving Lainstone this time I felt very content it had been a great day of photography. Probably due to such a top couple! I look forward to going back again this year ….
Finally I would like to take this opportunity to wish Garry & Caroline a long happy marriage & best wishes for their future together.
